Delete your account or your data

Applies to the app RingShield, also published as Bloquea.do and Bloqueou (com.bloqueo.app) · Last updated: October 8, 2026

You can delete your account and your data yourself, from the app, in a couple of taps. If you already uninstalled it, email us and we'll do it. Both ways, and exactly what is deleted, are below.

Only want to delete part of your data, without closing your account? You can do that too: see Delete only part of your data.

1. From the app

  1. Open the app.
  2. Go to Settings, the last tab in the bottom bar.
  3. Tap Delete my account.
  4. Confirm. We ask twice, because it can't be undone.

The deletion happens right then: it isn't queued, and there's no grace period during which the account keeps existing.

2. If you no longer have the app installed

Email us at info@bloquea.do with the subject "Delete my account" and tell us the email of the Google account you signed in to the app with.

Before deleting anything we check that the email is yours: we write to that address and only delete once you confirm from it. We do this even if you wrote to us from that same address, because the sender of an email can be forged. It isn't red tape: without that check, anyone could ask to delete someone else's account just by knowing their email.

We do it as soon as it's verified, and in any case within 30 days of your request.

3. Delete only part of your data

You don't need to close your account to delete things inside it.

Your reports and your blocks: go to Blocked, the second tab in the bottom bar, tap the ✕ next to the number and confirm with Remove. That takes the number off your list and also withdraws the report you made about it: the two are the same thing and go together.

Any other data — for example your lookup history — ask for it by email at info@bloquea.do, saying what you want deleted. We check that the account is yours just like in point 2, and we do it within the same 30 days.

Your account keeps working after either of the two.

4. What is deleted with the account

  • Your account.
  • Your Firebase sign-in record, with the name, email and photo of your Google account.
  • Your number lookup history.
  • Your session and your device identifier.
  • Your notification token.
  • Your personal blocks.
  • The record of the calls we blocked for you.
  • Your answer about which kinds of calls worry you.
  • What you wrote in your reports: the details and the institution name. The reports themselves stay, unlinked from you (point 5).
  • If you were in someone else's family group: your place in it.
  • If you owned a Family plan: the whole group, with its invitations.

All of that disappears from our database and from Firebase. No inactive copy or trash bin remains that it could be recovered from.

5. What isn't deleted, and why

The reports you made stay in the community database, but unlinked from you: they stop being associated with your account and there's no way left to know they were yours. What remains is the reported number and the category, which aren't personal data of yours.

A reported number protects whoever gets the call next. Deleting those reports because you're leaving would punish the community for your departure.

6. Your subscription

Deleting the account doesn't cancel an active subscription. That's done from Google Play: Play Store → your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.

The record kept by RevenueCat, our subscription manager, is deleted along with your account, without you having to ask. Google Play's isn't: that one belongs to your Google account, lives in your purchase history and only Google can remove it.

7. More detail

What information we collect, what we use it for and who we share it with is in the Privacy Policy. For any other request about your data — access or correction, as well as deletion — email us at info@bloquea.do.
